Quick care tips
Keep your pieces sparkling beautifully
- Wipe gently with your soft Siljorah cloth after every wear
- Put jewellery on last — after perfume, hairspray and lotions
- Keep dry — remove before showering, swimming and sleeping
- Store separately in your pouch
- Please do not use treated polishing cloths — only your plain soft Siljorah cloth
For 18k gold plated and premium alloy pieces
- Wipe gently after every wear — use your soft Siljorah cloth to remove oils, creams and sweat. This is the number one secret to long-lasting shine.
- Put jewellery on last — after perfume, hairspray, makeup and lotions. Let products dry completely first.
- Keep it dry — remove before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping. Water and moisture speed up dulling.
- Store separately — in your pouch or soft bag. This prevents scratches and keeps air away.
- Do not use treated polishing cloths — cloths made for solid gold or silver have abrasives that will wear away the fine plated layer. Always use your plain soft Siljorah cloth only.
- Do not use liquid cleaners, dips or harsh chemicals — these can strip the finish or loosen stones.
For stainless steel pieces
- Wipe clean with your soft cloth — simple as that.
- More water-resistant than plated — but still best to keep dry for longest life
- Still avoid harsh chemicals and perfumes directly on it
- Very low maintenance — stays brilliant beautifully
A gentle note
Our plated pieces are high-quality fashion jewellery — designed for everyday elegance and special moments. Plating will naturally soften over time; this is simply how plated jewellery works. With the care above, it will glow beautifully for you
Frequently asked questions
Will 18k gold plated last?
With simple care, it keeps its golden shine beautifully. It will not last forever like solid gold, but it will give you plenty of joy. Think of it like your favourite outfit — you wear it, love it, and refresh it when you are ready
Is stainless steel better?
It is different — a stronger, longer-lasting finish, but it does not have the same warm deep gold tone as 18k plated. Both are wonderful; choose the feel that matches your style
Can I use a regular gold polishing cloth?
For plated pieces, only your plain soft Siljorah cloth Treated cloths are too strong and wear away the gold layer. For stainless steel, gentle buffing is fine — but a plain cloth is still best.
Do you do returns?
